About this object
Round caddy bulges in center and projects near the top. Stopper is door knob hinged. Entire surface except for a gilded border at base is covered with filigree plain and shaded enamel. Background is rust-brown enamel. Panels around side have floral designs reminicent to the 17th century pattern on a blue green or pale peach ground. Upper part has formal 17th century flowers against a pale yellow ground. Cover has similar floral motifs against panels alternately pale peach and pale blue with a rosette on the top is various shades of pink. Interior gilt.
