About this object
Egg is decorated with four round medallions, each with a sunburst in silver wires ending in globules and set with a small rose cut amethyst. Rest of surface has designs of flowers and leaves in the 17th century manner on a cream ground. On top and bottom of egg are small rose cut stones of greenish color. Stones are in an open setting penetrating the surface of the egg.
