A finely painted image of Christ as the Lord Almighty (Gospod Vsederzhitel) with his right hand Christ delivers a blessing and his left hand holds a book of open Gospels inscribed with the text of Matthew 11:28. The image overlaid with a spectacular and ornate silver gilt, shaded and Cloissone enamel oklad with applied halo and cross form decorative corner elements. Hallmarked Moscow, 1899-1908 and Cyrillic makers mark ФР for Feodor Ruckert and 84 standard. The verso covered in salmon colored moire silk. 3.6 inches x 2.75 inches (9.2 x 7cm).
