Автор
retailed by Ovchinnikov, Moscow, circa 1900
Описание лота
Embossed on three sides with a stylized flowerspray, each set with colored stones, the lower body enameled with sirens, the whole cup colorfully enameled with flowering
Elants on grounds of sky blue, sea green and midnight lue, the everted rim enameled with a green and red scrolling vine and mounted with three colored hard-stone cabochons, certainly by Fedor Ruckert but ivithout maker's mark; retailer's mark of Ouchinnikmi only.
Although lacking his mark, this cup can be confidently attributed to Fedor Ruckert on stylistic grounds. See Marvin C. Ross, The Art of Carl Faberge and His Contemporaries, pi. 42 for for a similarly enameled tea caddy. This cup can be compared to a fine pictorial kovsh by Ruckert, also retained by Ovchinnikov, Sotheby's, December 14th, 1984, lot 468, Russian Works of Art.
