Moscow, circa 1910, of slightly bulbous form, enameled all over with flowers and geometric forms in the Old Russian Style in muted shades of gray, green, blue and brown, the scroll handle enameled similarly.

FINE FABERGE SILVER-GILT AND SHADED ENAMEL CASKET

Moscow, circa 1910, of rectangular shape, the cover enameled en plein with a bogatyr mounted on horseback confronting a tombstone on a desolate field, after the painting "Hero at the Crossroads” by Victor Michaelovich Vasnetzov, the sloping surrounds of the cover and sides enameled in muted tones in the Old Russian Style, the hinged and enameled handles on both sides and butterfly-form clasp enameled similarly, raised on four bracket feet. The painting Hero at the Crossroads was painted by Vasnetzov (1848-1926) in 1882. It is now in the Russian Museum, Leningrad.
