Enameled with multicolored exotic flowering plants, set with hardstone cabochons and table-cut emeralds and applied with silver beads and filigree scrolls the base engraved with the Cyrillic presentation inscription, "This kovsh was awarded by the Sovereign Emperor Nicholas II to Baron Joseph Augustovich de Buy on 22 December 1903."
