A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND SHADED ENAMEL CIGARETTE CASE, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1899-1908, PROBABLY FEODOR RUCKERT.
Both sides finely decorated with scrolling florals and geometric designs on a cream and olive green ground in the Pan Slavic style typical of the Ruckert workshop. The hinged lid with green cabochon thumbpiece opening to reveal a brightly gilded interior displaying a dedicatory inscription in Russian dated 1914, otherwise unmarked. Length 3.75 inches (9.5 cm).
