Faberge gilded silver and shaded cloisonne enamel boxin Neo-Russian style with a miniature of a horse sledge in a winter villagescape, made in Moscow between 1908 and 1917.
Length 2 11/16 in. (6,9 cm).
The matte miniature is surrounded with elaborate wire patterns and highly stylized foliage in muted colors on blue ground. The miniature and enamel on the lid are in excellent condition, just light pocket wear to the filigree wires. No restoration.
The sides are enameled with stylized floral and geometrical designs predominantly in a palette of greys and browns on olive green ground.
A few tiny surface chips to green enamel. Original gilding. No restoration.
Struck under the base with 88 zolotniks (916/1000 silver) and K.FABERGE in Cyrillic under the Imperial warrant. Faberge's scratched inventory number 26058.
