Faberge silver-gilt and shaded cloisonne enamel spoons, Moscow, 1908-1917, decorated in predominantly muted colors with floral and geometric designs in highly stylized Pan-Slavic manner, marked with 88 standard (.916 silver), master's initials of Fedor Ruckert overstruck with FABERGE in Cyrillic under Imperial eagle. Length 5 3/4 in. (14,5 cm). Minor restoration to white enamel on one of the spoons.
Fedor Ruckert, with his unique and easily recognizable style, is the most sought-after Russian enameler. Since 1877, he supplied the Moscow branch of Faberge firm with cloisonne enamel objects.
