Superb gilded silver and shaded cloisonne enamel kovsh (ancient Russian drinking vessel) by the most distinguished Moscow enameler Feodor Ruckert, with shaped handle and circular foot, fully enameled with highly stylized floral and geometrical forms against dark green ground. Struck under base with 88 standard (.916 silver), Moscow assay mark for 1908-1917, master's initials Cyrillic 'FR' and later Soviet control marks.
Height 3 1/2 in. (8,5 cm). Length 3 7/8 in. (9,8 cm). Both enamel and gilding are in excellent condition.
Since 1877, Ruckert supplied the Moscow branch of Faberge firm with cloisonne enamel objects.
