Bonbonierre Vineyard Easter Egg
Richly garnished silver-gilt enamel Easter egg that is twice separated in four panels by enamel decorated lilac rows that pick up their colour from two cabochon magnificent amethysts at each end of the egg. One of the upper panels depicts a woman in a traditional green Russian dress holding a wine tablet and another panel portraits a man with a chalice wearing a star and half moon spangled robe. Two of the lower panels depict each a griffin holding a stylized sword. The remaining panels are splendidly decorated with multicoloured enamel foliage and flowers. The egg is hold by four classical silver gilt busts on a nephrite and silver-gilt base standing on four paws-
