TWO LARGE RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND SHADED CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL SPOONS
ONE, MARK OF FEDOR RÜCKERT, MOSCOW, "88" STANDARD, 1908-1917; THE OTHER MARK OF IVAN SALTYKOV, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1890
Enamelled overall with stylised scrolling foliage; the bowl of the Rückert spoon centred by a large flower-head and enamelled in dark blue, burgundy red, orange, pink, mauve and green on turquoise blue ground, the interior engraved with Cyrillic letters ‘NTeE’; the Saltykov spoon enamelled overall with stylised scrolling foliage in shades of blue, pink, green and translucent red on cream ground, with turquoise blue bead border
