Rectangular with rounded corners, enamelled overall with stylised geometric motifs and foliage in shades of blue, green, brown, and orange, the cover with en plein shaped plaque depicting a troika in the snow, the interior inscribed '4h 10m sans escale à Mr A. Bayle de l'aviateur Basile Prokhoroff 1916.', with cabochon sapphire push-piece, marked inside cover and base
