A large jewelled enamel silver-gilt presentation kovsh by Faberge and with workmaster's mark of Fedor Ruckert, Moscow 1899-1908, with scratched inventory number 13970.
Of oval almost spherical form, overall decorated with varicoloured stylised blossoms, floral scrolls and geometric designs in pan-Slavic style and with wirework scrolls on ground of blue and cream, the prow with Imperial double-headed eagle and set with cabochon cornelians, turquiose and chrysoprase, with corded rim, the plain base engraved with 'In remembrance of our visit to London May-June 1907, Prince Obolensky and Prince J. Saltykoff', marked under base, in original fitted wood case stamped in Russian 'Faberge' with Imperial warrant 'St. Petersburg, Moscow, Odessa'
