A pair of silver-gilt cloisonne enamel Salt-chairs marked with the Cyrillic initials of Fedor Ruckert, Moscow, 1908-1917, with scratched inventory numbers 29926 and 29927
Traditionally shaped, the angular shaped backs with the mythical bird Sirin displayed on pale green ground with geometric border above, with two ball finials decorated with pale blue pellets, the tapering seats and hinged covers with stylized flower heads and leaves on pale green ground with geometric borders on dark blue ground, gilt interiors, marked under seats and bases

The scratched inventory number probably indicates that these chairs were retailed by Faberge.
