The flask baluster shaped, on stepped domed foot with stylized vari color blossoms with blue scroll bands on green ground decorated with gilt scrolls surmounted by white pellet border, the body with stylized blossoms and foliate scrolls on cream ground in shaped reserves, separated by similar floral scrolls on pale blue ground, the upper part with similar blossoms on pale blue ground separated by stylized leaves on blue and yellow ground with green borders, the shaped neck with similar vari color blossoms on cream ground in lobed reserves, with further blossoms on yellow, green and blue ground, the expanding band with gilt scrolls on red ground with pellet decoration of translucent blue, the detachable domed cover with similar flowers with bud finial decorated with flowers and leaves, the six vodka cups on domed feet with band of stylized leaves on red ground between gilt borders, the shaped bodies with stylized floral and foliate scrolls on cream ground with dark green bases with further decoration, the shaped circular tray on three compressed ball feet with waved rims, decorated with stylized blossoms and scrolls on pale blue ground, within borders of similar floral and foliate scrolls on green ground, the central roundel engraved in Russian 'To Fedor Ivanovich Shaliapin 5th April 1902. Kiev', each marked under base the tray 10.5/8in. (27cm.) diam., the flask 12.5/8in. (32cm.) high, the cups 2in. (7cm.) high (8)
