The cover with a young woman in national costume surrounded by stylised lilies, the reverse with a peacock, flowers and vines, with cabochon thumbpiece, stamped with the mark of F. Kurljukov, Moscow, late 19th Century. This would seem to be one of the rare recorded examples of a cloisonn6 piece made by Ruckert for another master than Faberge.
