Russian Silver & Enamel Pan-Slavic Salt: Faberge
A Russian silver and shaded enamel salt in the Pan-Slavic style by Fedor Ruckert, overstruck K.Faberge and scratched with original retailers inventory number 39190. Of traditional form, the piece was made in 88 standard silver between 1908-1917 in Moscow and measures 2” (5.1 cm) in diameter by 1 3/8” (3.5 cm) tall. Engulfed in stylized geometric and vegetative forms against a royal blue ground, the salt is extremely heavy for its size, weighing 2.31 oz (66 grams). A fine example
