Russian Silver & Shaded Enamel Serving Spoon: Ruckert
$19,500
A wonderful serving spoon by Feodor Ruckert, manufactured in Moscow between 1896-1907 in 88 standard silver. Decorated in the Neo-Russian style, the piece shows delicate shaded enamel against gilded grounds on both the bowl and the flat handle, the latter punctuated with plique-a-jour highlights. Measuring 7 1/8” (18.1 cm) and weighing 3.1 oz (87.2 g), the spoon is nicely gilded and in addition to the appropriate hallmarks, sports the inventory number 2746, possibly indicating that it was retailed by Faberge.
