Russian Silver & Enamel Pan-Slavic Spoon: Faberge
Russian silver & shaded enamel spoon by Feodor Ruckert, overstruck Faberge, in the Pan-Slavic style. Of traditional form this wonderful spoon sports a round bowl enameled with stylized florals and geometric forms in muted autumnal colors against a cream ground. Both sides of the reticulated flat handle are enameled en suite and all the enameled patterns are over-gilded as one would expect. Measuring 5 7/16" (13.8 cm) in length and 1 3/8" (3.5 cm) across the bowl, the interior of the bowl and the shank are gilded. Weighing 1.3 oz (36.5 grams), the spoon is marked for Moscow manufacture in 84 standard silver and K. Faberge under the Imperial Warrant, overstriking the initials of Feodor Ruckert. An amazing spoon.
