A Russian silver-gilt and cloisonne enamel card case Fedor Ruckert, Moscow, circa 1890 decorated with the King of Spades, and the Queen of Diamonds, each on a white ground and within stylized floral and scroll border, the top of the hinged cover with a medallion beneath the imperial eagle, decorated with the pious pelican and with Russian inscription 'For the benefit of the Imperial Foundling School', gilt interior with two compartments, scratched number 2410
9.7cm high, 4.5cm wide, 7cm deep
