Once again we offer a beautiful, antique Russian silver and shaded enamel serving spoon. It measures 7-1/2" or 19 cm long by 2-1/2" or 6-1/2 cm wide. The spoon has a lovely gold wash over its entirety. The handle is decorated with intricate designs which are accented with various enamel colors including sky blue, violet, yellow and dark green. There is a nice twisted silver portion in the middle of the handle and the end has a crown-style finial. The back of the large bowl has a bright gold wash over the silver with slightly raised floral and swirl designs of shaded enamel. The craftsmanship is incredible. The side of the handle is marked "84", left-facing profile and some sideways tiny letters. There are also two maker's intials which were only stamped halfway onto the handle thus making it difficult to distinguish. Given the exquisite craftsmanship and quality of this piece, it is quite possible it could be attributed to Fedor Ruckert the famed Faberge workmaster, though we cannot be positive. We will leave it to the experts to decipher the initials. This is a fine example of Russian silver and enamel. It would be a welcome addition to any collection. Please be sure to check our current listings which include more pieces of Russian silver and enamel. These pieces come from one large, private collection which has been in storage for the past 65 years.
