Russian .875 Silver-Gilt and Cloisonne Enamel Cigarette Case,
Moscow, 1899-1908, Feodor Ruckert, maker, 84 zolotnik standard, of rectangular form, both sides of the case centered with an oval cabochon chrysoprase with 'petals' of raised gilded silver cloisons and gilt beads, all against a ground enamel with brightly colored stylized blossoms within scrolling foliage, the forest green enamel border around the central cartouche with geometric ornament and the four corners set with cabochon cornelian, the outer border enameled with brightly colored chain of scrolling foliage against lapis and navy blue grounds, with gilded silver pushpiece decorated with scrolling floral and foliate motifs set with five cabochon gemstones, lg. 3 5/8, wd. 2 3/4 in., approx. 4.50 troy oz
