A RUSSIAN SILVER AND ENAMEL PILL BOX, FEODOR RUCKERT, MOSCOW, 1896-1908.
The compressed spherical form with shaded enameled body rendered in the Pan Slavic style, typical of Ruckert’s work and the hinged lid in translucent turquoise enamel over an engine-turned ground. Hallmarked Moscow, Cyrillic maker’s mark FR, and 88 silver standard. Diameter 2.1 inches (5.4 cm).
